Flashback: Rumored Obama AG Calls for "Reasonable" Limits on free Speech

While on the surface Obama's most recent rumored appointee, Eric Holden, seems to be not too surprising of a pick he could implicate serious trouble for blogs like Certified Random in the near future.  A little digging found that Holden's most immediate response to the horrific Colombine shootings was to call for what he calls, "reasonable limits on free speech," on the internet.  In my opinion the concept of any limitations on free speech as being "reasonable" is an alarming viewpoint to be coming from an attorney general.  Listen to the Audio yourself here.

LET IMPEACH OBAMA!! yes!

LET IMPEACH OBAMA!! yes!

You're silly. How about we

You're silly. How about we just pressure him to make good selections for cabinet posts. Its sort of like Bush trying to appoint Harriot Miers if enough attention is brought to poor decisions politicians will rescind nominations.

sorry I can't resist a good

sorry I can't resist a good riot...but that would work too.

yeah for a guy who ran on

yeah for a guy who ran on change, he sure seems to be choosing a ton of washington insiders for his cabinet.

how come jim always makes

how come jim always makes the 'for (obama thing), he is (contrasting thing)...' argument? but i do agree with andrew (dramatic music plays) that politicians need to be pressured by the folks they make policy for to select good members for their cabinet. and the threat to free internet expression is something that is seriously scary...

I may have used that

I may have used that argument once before, but either way he is choosing a ton of former Clinton aides as cabinet members. Obama will make up his own mind, I'm sure, but their overwhelming presence is a little sketch.

Let the dramatic music

Let the dramatic music continue ...perhaps even a drumroll here because one thing that I have always liked about Obama is his claimed support of net neutrality. Hopefully his actions mirror his words and not his cabinet selections. After giving him his deserved props for that I have to add in his terrible support of the "Fairness" Doctrine which does not get any love.
