Herzog and de Meuron Pyramid

A week after praising H & de M for their NYCity residential towers design (check it out here), they have released their new design for a high rise in the midst of Paris. Now you might be asking yourself, high rises in Paris? Apparently their 30 year-old ban against high rise buildings has been recently lifted, which has consequently led to a new movement in the city - check out the other high rise proposal by Valode & Pistre Architects.

As I had previously stated, I love Herzog & de Meuron as much as the next guy but I think they might have dropped the ball on this one in, what it seems, a completely disregard for the context fabric as well as a lack of sound design concept...but maybe its just me.
