Studio PEI-ZHU

I have decided to culture my fellow CertifiedRandom architecture readers by showcasing new, upcoming firms - some of which might be known by some of you - with the intention to further extend architecture knowledge.

Studio Pei-Zhu is a young chinese practice of under 40 employees based in Beijing. They have recently won competitions such as the Guggenheim museum Beijing and Digital Beijing, an Olympic project for 2008, Beijing.

"For us, the challenge of design is to provide practical solutions while reflecting a strong and innovative conceptual thinking and a critical outlook.

Our projects, therefore, are an exploration of methods to connect process to product."

Check it.

If not for Ed's posts, I would still be gawking at drawings by Piranessi- well maybe not that far back. Keep up the good relevant arch posts... and the ones where animals where bulletproof vests.
