Follow Maestro and MJ as they takeover Gourmet's LA office for the day, MJ gets schooled in groceries with Jon, hits the batting cages with Lucci and visit the spa with Greg!

another good episode to the Maestro Knows series, the beginning was probably my favorite when they go grocery shopping for fine gourmet food.  "So you would consider yourself the Michael Jordan of the brand?"

Check out gourmetinyourface.com this is clothing brand Gourmet that Maestro and MJ were interviewing in the vid, plus they have a pretty sweet blog under the "DuJour" link.

Tom Shoes

If you not familiar with TOM Shoes, they are stylish vegan slippers, where you buy one and they send one to a kid in a impoverished country.  I think they look pretty pimp, I going to have get a pair, and give a little rest to my unlaced Asics that I like to slug around in.

In an excerpt from the short documentary “For Tomorrow”, Blake Mycoskie explains how the concept for Toms Shoes came about.

I am still trying to figure out which one I want to sport, either the Black Canvas or Black Burlap, mmm. (which are both displayed above.)

Contra Mag 004 - NY State of Mind

contra4

The 4th Online edition of Contra Magazine has been released, “New York State of Mind.”  Loosely inspired by Nas.  but this issue covers a lot of the current creatives in the Big Apple.  Real good coverage, that includes a lot of people that interest me such ad the people from the rendering firm Tronic and David Gensler of the KDU.

Sex, Lies and Photoshop - NY Times

Why magazines should let readers know if images have been retouched.

Nice video article found in the Opinion section of the NY Times.  Pretty much explains that these images go through huge  amount of editing and assembling.  And its not just the normal woman and meet up to what magazines are delivering, but the model that are photographed can not compete with the perfection of their photoshopped images.

If Retouching interests you, you have to check this older article about master retoucher Pascal Dangin
