Jackson & Spielberg to tackle Tintin

It has been reported that directors Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg are scheduled to direct two separate movies in what will be a trilogy of films based on the popular Belgian comic-strip Tintin. It is not known yet who is set to direct the third movie in the set.

The fascinating thing about how the strip will be brought to the screen is in it's graphic visualization; Jackson told the press that the characters would stay true to the comic-strip design while Spielberg comments that there would be a photorealism to them. I'm picturing Toy Story meets 300. Both directors are currently working on their own projects now (Jackson- 'The Lovely Bones'/ Spielberg- 'Indiana Jones 4').
