Tinker Hatfield? The Nike Architect
I just stumbled on the legendary innovator, Tinker Hatfield. He actually was educated as an architect and was hired buy Nike to build arenas and showrooms, but through the later evolution of Nike he became VP of design and has designed some the of the most classic models of Nike Sneakers, such as the Air Max. It interesting his take on design in general and how everything you been around will influence your design and methodology. For him Renzo Piano's Pompidou Centre help push the design of the Air Max.

Pascal Dangin: Master Retoucher
Who is Pascal Dangin? He is the retoucher for stars. Pretty he master that professionally photoshops fashion photos for editorial. His aid is so high demand, for his techincal and as well as his taste of what is visually appealing in photography. Majority of well known photographer such as Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel, Craig McDean and more will not allow one of their images to be published with it passing the hands of Dangin's studio.
I mentioned the Dove ad campaign that proudly featured lumpier-than-usual “real women” in their undergarments. It turned out that it was a Dangin job. “Do you know how much retouching was on that?” he asked. “But it was great to do, a challenge, to keep everyone’s skin and faces showing the mileage but not looking unattractive.”
If you are interested in Photoshop or Photography or the business of graphics the New Yorker article on Pascal Dangin is a great read.

Elle Macpherson’s Myspace Marketing
The new campaign for ’s Intimates line (art directed by Gary Freedman of Glue Society and shot by photographer Max Doyle) revolves around seven hot young things scantily clad in underwear from the Intimates range. Each has her own MySpace page on which a short film is posted showing the girl doing something unusual in the intimacy of their own home in their underwear. For example, one plays the, err, Tuba, one blows up her pillow (with an explosive charge), one makes a poodle out of a balloon, one tells jokes and - a personal favourite - one uses her hands to create a sillhouette of a drummer which she then makes play along to a drum solo.

Brazilian model dies from anorexia
Ana Carolina Reston, 21, died on Tuesday in a Sao Paulo hospital from a generalized infection caused by anorexia, an eating disorder in which sufferers obsessively deprive themselves of food in pursuit of an ultra-slim look.
Reston weighed only 88 pounds (40 kg) and was about 5 feet 8 inches tall (1.72 meters) tall. Doctors consider this weight normal for a 12-year-old girl no more than about 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall.
Its is a sad reality. I can't figure out why they figure out looking boney is not in. We need girls with asses. This just adds to all the scrutiny of Madrid banning skinny models and Model, Luisel Ramos, dying in August.
